Job summary

Downer Group in Australia is seeking a Project Engineer / QAQC to coordinate safe, compliant and efficient execution of project works on site, acting as QA/QC lead and focal point for quality activities, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, schedules, specifications and Downer's Zero Harm policy.

The role develops ITPs/ITRs, supports procurement and subcontractor activities, and leads turnover and completion; requires engineering degree, 5+ years' experience in industrial

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years' experience delivering industrial construction, maintenance or brownfields projects.
• FIFO site experience in oil & gas, mining, energy or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily project execution activities between supervisors and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress against schedule and identify risks, constraints and opportunities.
• Provide timely reporting to Project Manager: PRAPs, weekly status, monthly summaries.
• Act as the project QA/QC Lead and site focal point for quality-related matters.
• Develop, review and implement ITPs and ITRs, quality procedures and check sheets.
• Coordinate mechanical completion and project turnover activities.
• Support procurement planning and subcontractor selection per guidance from Project Manager and Contract Manager.
• Support vendor management, technical clarifications, and commissioning assistance.
