Job summary

DNV Industrial Product Assurance in Sydney seeks a seasoned Business Development Executive to lead IPA Australia growth across Hazardous Area, Welding, Pressure Equipment, Construction Products, Machinery and Battery schemes.

You will manage IPA Australia operations, maintain JAS/NZS accreditation, drive sales, build go‑to‑market plans, and expand certification services while engaging with client executive management. Hybrid work and professional membership support offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, with relevant experience in Industrial Product Certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably with a JAS-ANZ accredited certification body in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of product certification schemes applicable in Australia, including WaterMark, Gas Cylinder, and Product Mark Schemes; familiarity with CPR, ISO 3834, Ex certification is essential.
• Self-driven, proactive, and highly motivated professional.
• Strong customer relationship management and client service skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to communicate across diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive business growth and expand certification services across the Australian market.

Responsibilities

• Manage IPA Australia operation activities.
• Maintain existing JAS/NZS accreditation and coordinate with accreditation body.
• Participate in sales activities and perform client audits.
• Develop go-to-market activities including identifying and meeting with existing and potential clients.
• Responsible to achieve IPA Australia business targets.
• Enhance Industrial Product Assurance customer base in Australia.
• Shall have ability to deal with client executive management.
• Ensure good relationship with team and other stakeholders.
