Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician to ensure reliable operation in the Queenstown area. The role covers installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in an industrial setting, with a focus on preventive maintenance programs and quick response to electrical emergencies to minimize downtime and enhance safety.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and a commitment to workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certification (N3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and variable speed drives.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment including motors, generators, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Install new electrical systems, wiring, and components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and code books.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and repair activities.
