Job summary

Oreco Group in Childers, QLD invites an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our expanding team. You will install, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems across diverse projects, ensuring reliability and safety on-site.

We value safety, precision and teamwork. You should hold a Queensland electrical licence or trade qualification and have 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, with the ability to read schematics and use testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Current electrical licence or trade qualification recognised in Queensland.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience working as an industrial electrician.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machinery and equipment.
• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• A solid understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, including AS/NZS 3000.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in varied environments and at heights where required.
• Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Installing, inspecting, testing and maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs to minimise downtime.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and blueprints to execute work accurately.
• Conducting preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and site teams to complete projects on schedule.
• Documenting work completed and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshooting complex electrical problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Assisting with the installation of new electrical systems and equipment.
