Job summary

Texco Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive Design Administrator to support design activities on industrial and commercial construction projects in Alexandria. You will assist in documentation, drawings, and coordination with the Design Manager and project teams.

The role is ideal for recent graduates or those with initial design or construction experience, offering hands-on exposure and a clear path to design coordination and management within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Ideally 1–2 years of experience in a design, construction or project engineer / administration environment.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, coordination and distribution of design documentation, drawings and project correspondence.
• Maintain drawing registers, document records and project information using Aconex.
• Support Design Manager with day-to-day design coordination activities and tracking deliverables.
• Attend design meetings, prepare minutes and maintain action registers for follow-up.
• Assist with reviewing design drawings and consultant documentation.
• Liaise with internal teams, consultants and stakeholders to support communication and information sharing.
• Prepare and coordinate documentation for project approvals, submissions, design presentations and handovers.
• Develop understanding of safety in design, quality requirements and broader design and construction processes.
