Job summary

Wannon Water in Warrnambool is seeking an Industrial Customer Coordinator to manage trade waste and water supply agreements, support biosolids reuse, and ensure regulatory obligations are met.

This ongoing full-time role combines technical expertise, customer relationships and environmental stewardship to deliver safe, sustainable and reliable water services to our community. Based in Warrnambool, the position offers a generous salary andsuperannuation.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Sound skills and knowledge in project delivery processes/project management.
  • Analytical and investigative skills for option assessment.
  • Ability to monitor, analyse and report on water/wastewater quality inputs and impacts.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all existing and new industrial customers have current Trade Waste and Water Supply Agreements.
  • Assess new industrial and tankered waste customers for disposal route and fees before acceptance.
  • Ensure data required for customer agreements and regulatory purposes is measured, stored and verified for invoicing and compliance.
  • Manage the operation of the Brine Receival Facility (BRF).
  • Build strong relationships with industrial customers, septage and BRF users, and biosolids reuse customers.
  • Strategically manage biosolids contractors to meet regulatory obligations for sludge delivery, storage, drying, testing and reuse.

Job description

As our Industrial Customer Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing our industrial customers, ensuring trade waste and water supply services are effectively managed and regulatory obligations are met. You'll also help shape the strategic management and reuse of biosolids, while ensuring accurate data supports sound decision-making and customer billing.

This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise, customer relationships and environmental stewardship to help deliver safe, sustainable and reliable water services to our community. This is an ongoing full-time position based in Warrnambool, with a generous salary of $102,449 to $114,283 p.a. plus superannuation.

What you’ll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

  • Ensure all existing and new industrial customers have currentTrade Waste and Water Supply Agreements.
  • Ensure all new industrial and tankered waste customers have been assessed by internal stakeholders to identify the appropriate disposal route and fees before acceptance into Wannon Water's systems.
  • Ensure all data required in customer agreements and for regulatory purposes is accurately measured, stored and verified for invoicing and compliance with Wannon Water's Trade Waste Agreements and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage the operation of the Brine Receival Facility (BRF).
  • Build strong relationships with industrial customers, septage and BRF users, and biosolids re-use customers.
  • Strategically manage our biosolids contractors to meet regulatory obligations regarding the delivery of sludge from treatment plants to biosolids facilities, short and long-term storage, drying and testing, and spreading on re-use farms.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline or significant experience within a relevant field.
  • Sound skills and knowledge in project delivery processes/project management.
  • Analytical and investigative skills are required to enable the formulation and review of options.
  • Proficiency in the ability to monitor, analyse and report on detailed water/wastewater quality inputs and impacts.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
