Job summary

Impressu Print Group in Brendale, Australia, is seeking a Press Operator to print quality products efficiently and accurately, following work tickets and schedules. You will monitor the press, prepare ink, paper, and maintain equipment per maintenance plans, ensuring every job is checked and signed off as required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 4-year apprenticeship, with at least 1 year of trade experience and relevant printing industry knowledge, ready to contribute to a growing team

• 1 years trade experience preferred.
• Relevant experience in the printing industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate a press to print quality products accurately and efficiently using all supplied information.
• Check work ticket thoroughly for all necessary information
• Prepare ink, paper and press to the workticket instructions
• Constantly monitor the press to ensure a quality job is being produced at all times
• Ensure all jobs produced are checked for accuracy and quality by the Supervisor, Leading Hand or another Press Operator and signed off on the work ticket
• Ensure times for each job are allocated on the workticket and computer
• Fulfil regular maintenance as per the maintenance schedule
• Keep Production Supervisor or Leading Hand informed of any necessary press requirements
• Assist the Production Supervisor or Leading Hand as per direction
• Advise the Production Supervisor or Leading Hand when consumable stocks are low
• Complete all tasks on the production list each day
