Job summary

Aurora Education Foundation seeks a Community Engagement Facilitator to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and families within the High School Program. The role is hybrid, full-time, and a identified position until December 2027.

The facilitator will coordinate tutoring access, ASP funding, cultural camps and engagement days, with remote support and travel across NSW as required.

Qualifications

• You identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and can bring lived experience and community understanding to the role.
• Experience working with young people, families or communities in professional, volunteer or community settings.
• You build trusting relationships easily and communicate confidently with students, families, schools and stakeholders.
• You are organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel across NSW and attend overnight camps and program activities.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with students and families via phone, email and text.
• Support students to engage with tutoring, ASP funding, camps and engagement days.
• Collaborate with schools, families and partners to support wellbeing and outcomes.
• Assist with onboarding and transitions to post-school pathways.
• Maintain accurate records in Aurora's CRM and internal systems.
• Attend schools and community events to strengthen partnerships and promote engagement.
• Plan and deliver camps and engagement days with culturally safe experiences.
