Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Understanding of Indigenous cultural protocols and engage with all staff in a respectful, collegiate manner.
• An understanding of Indigenous research in a university context, including ethical practices and collaboration with Indigenous communities.
• Completion of a relevant postgraduate qualification with relevant experience or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Engage with UTS Indigenous researchers to understand research track record and impact.
• Undertake activities to understand Indigenous-led research practices and knowledge systems across the university.
• Develop resources for Indigenous-led research applying Indigenous data sovereignty principles.
• Collaborate with offices to develop training opportunities for staff undertaking Indigenous research.
• Provide leadership and support for Indigenous research funding and proposal development.
