Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking a Research Officer for the Painting Stories Project. This role focuses on supporting Indigenous-led research and maintaining strong relationships with partner communities across sites in Western Australia.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to project activities, data collection and analysis, and preparation of resources and materials. This full-time fixed-term position spans 12 months with a base salary of AU$86,540–AU$95,920

Qualifications

• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting research activities, including data collection and data analysis.
• Experience working with Aboriginal peoples and communities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong, respectful relationships with stakeholders and partners, escalating complex issues to senior researchers.
• Collaborate with the research team across sites to support project activities ethically and efficiently.
• Assist the team in preparing resources and project materials.
