Job summary

The Wet Tropics Management Authority invites applications for a temporary full-time role within the World Heritage Connections team in Queensland. You will support Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples and Traditional Owners, building strong relationships and contributing to rights-based approaches to management of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.

You will assist with engagement activities, coordinate meetings and events, help with project planning and reporting, and prepare communication materials

Qualifications

• Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience supporting projects or community engagement activities.
• Ability to prepare reports, presentations, newsletters and other written materials.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement activities and coordinate meetings and events.
• Assist with project planning and reporting.
• Prepare communication materials and publications for programs.
• Contribute to initiatives that strengthen connections between Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples, Country and World Heritage values.
