Job summary
UniSC Sunshine Coast invites applications for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander academic to advance nursing education, research and community engagement. You will lead culturally responsive teaching, develop curriculum, publish research and build partnerships with health services and communities.
The role is identified for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, with relocation support available.
Qualifications
- Registration as a nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in higher education teaching and curriculum development.
- Research experience with scholarly outputs and ability to contribute to initiatives.
- Strong professional and community connections relevant to nursing and Indigenous health.
- Commitment to improving recruitment, retention, wellbeing and graduate outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, culturally responsive teaching and learning experiences for nursing students.
- Design, review and enhance the nursing curriculum with Indigenous knowledges and cultural safety.
- Contribute to research initiatives aligned with the School and University priorities.
- Publish scholarly work and grow a program of research activity and impact.
- Develop partnerships with health services, community organisations and professional bodies.
- Support recruitment, retention, wellbeing and graduation outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
