University of New South Wales – Sydney NSW invites applications for a part-time Research Associate in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Injury Prevention. The role supports community consultation, data collection, literature reviews and other research methods, working closely with Indigenous communities.

It contributes to scholarly outputs and ensures findings are shared through culturally appropriate channels.

Qualifications

• Masters in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
• Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
• Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students.

Responsibilities

• The role will support collaborative research focused on improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander injury prevention outcomes.
• Contribute to scholarly outputs and ensure findings are shared through appropriate and culturally relevant channels.
• Engage with communities through consultation and data collection in line with project aims.
