Job summary

Queensland Health is recruiting an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner for Bundaberg. You will provide culturally safe primary health care services to Indigenous clients and communities, delivering programs, assessing and treating clients, and maintaining care systems under supervision.

This experienced role may include second on-call emergency services on a rotation, with a strong emphasis on culture, connection and care within Wide Bay services.

Qualifications

• Indigenous to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community is a genuine occupational requirement.
• Experienced practitioner role with ability to operate with a level of independence under supervision.
• Ability to deliver culturally safe primary health care programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical primary health care services to Indigenous clients and communities.
• Assess and treat clients and maintain health care systems under supervision.
• Provide advice and support while under clinical supervision; may participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
