Job summary

Eastern Guruma invites applications for a Permanent full-time Labourer role in WA. You will perform general labouring and site duties, assist with drilling support and camp tasks, and help maintain tools and equipment on a long-term project with a 2:1 roster and 12-hour days.

The position requires Indigenous Australian status, a driver’s licence (HR desirable), and willingness to undertake pre-employment checks. FIFO experience is valued and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be Indigenous Australian living in Perth, Western Australia.
• Must have a current full automatic or manual licence with no restrictions (HR licence highly desirable).
• Labour experience in civil, construction or mining (highly desirable).
• Experience in FIFO (highly desirable).
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical, laboratory drug & alcohol test as well as police check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labouring/sampler duties.
• Carrying out pre-start inspections on all machinery prior to use.
• Maintaining and returning tooling to designated locations when not in use.
• Taking care of all plant and equipment and reporting damage.
• Monitoring fuel and oil levels while the drill is in operation.
• Assistance with bore construction and monitoring drilling equipment.
• Set-up of ancillary equipment and development of mud pits and sumps.
• Drill and consumable sharpening and handling.
• Operate water/fuel to drill rigs and support trucks.
• Assist driller and maintenance personnel in servicing and repairs.
• Assist in camp duties such as cooking, cleaning etc.
• Assist Site Administrators and Project Manager in general administration.
• Truck driving and LV operation on site; transport personnel and move equipment.
