Katungul Aboriginal Corporation seeks a Safe & Strong Families Worker (Identified*) based in Narooma, NSW. This full-time fixed-term role to 30 June 2027 focuses on early help, targeted services, and culturally appropriate family support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

You will design and deliver group programs, provide ongoing case management and advocacy, and collaborate with community stakeholders to support children and families facing stressors such as DV and child

Formación

• Tertiary qualification in Community Services or similar.
• Proven experience in working with families in a case management, capacity building and family support role.
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as an effective team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to relate well to a range of people with sound listening and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven emotional maturity and resilience.
• Demonstrated ability to engage families at the point of initial service contact, build relationships of trust and cooperation, and develop case management/support plans.
• Experience with assessment based tools.
• High level cultural competencies and experience working alongside Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with children and families experiencing stressors, including Domestic Violence, Child Protection issues, Parent Drug and Alcohol Misuse, Parenting Skills, Child Behaviour Management, Learning Difficulties, Parental Mental Health and Social Isolation.
• Ability to design and deliver group programs to meet identified needs of client groups.
• Ability to be creative, resourceful, strengths based and outcome focused.
• Working knowledge of the local child and family support sector for the Eurobodalla area (desirable).
• Experience in managing electronic files and data bases- DEX data management system (desirable).
