Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is seeking an Engagement Manager for the First Peoples’ Energy branch in Melbourne. You will lead a Project Officer, collaborate with the Policy team, and drive programs central to Victoria’s renewable energy transition.

The role focuses on building respectful relationships with Traditional Owner Corporations and First Peoples’ communities, delivering culturally informed projects, and implementing the strategic plan to support Aboriginal

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians
• Experience delivering programs or grants in energy sector or government programs (bonus)

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with Traditional Owner Corporations and First Peoples’ communities
• Support culturally informed projects and programs reflecting Aboriginal priorities
• Implement the First Peoples Renewable Energy Strategic Plan and contribute to DEECA’s self-determination reform strategy
