Job summary

MSS Security is seeking Security Officers to join our Defence team across multiple sites in the Australian Capital Territory. You will operate to high standards, protecting personnel, assets and critical infrastructure while upholding professionalism, reliability and discretion.

Whether you are an experienced officer or starting your career in security, this role offers rostered ongoing work, comprehensive training, uniform provided and real opportunities within Defence.

Qualifications

• Valid ACT Security Licence or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Hold the required security clearance or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Site Security & Patrols: Monitor access points, conduct regular foot patrols, maintain a strong security presence to protect personnel, assets and infrastructure.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors to support a safe and secure environment.
• Incident Response & Emergency Management: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and security incidents.
• Compliance & Reporting: Follow Defence security procedures and document shift activities and observations.
