The University of Melbourne is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Academic Tutor within Murrup Barak to empower Indigenous students. You will design and deliver weekly discipline-specific tutoring, guiding self-directed learning and upholding high academic standards.

Work with a supportive Indigenous-led team to share resources, maintain records, and advance culturally safe practices. This role offers professional development and a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications

• Design and deliver weekly discipline-specific tutoring sessions, individually and in groups.
• Guide students to develop self-directed learning strategies while maintaining academic standards.
• Collaborate with fellow tutors to create, refine and share discipline resources and participate in professional development.
• Build culturally safe, supportive learning environments and make referrals to the Student Success Team when needed.
• Maintain accurate tutoring records, schedules and progress notes, ensuring program systems are used effectively.
