Job summary

State Street Investment Management in Sydney seeks a junior investment professional to join the Systematic Equity Beta team. The role focuses on implementing indexed equity strategies, monitoring portfolios, and supporting risk management and reporting.

You will develop toward a portfolio-manager capability, explaining outcomes and driving process improvements in a fast-paced investment environment.

Qualifications

• Ideally degree qualified with a finance/economics focus.
• 3–7 years industry experience.
• Experience in asset owner, investment consulting, or portfolio analytics environments.
• CFA exams will be viewed favorably.

Responsibilities

• Manage indexed equity portfolios, daily monitoring, cash management, and trade execution.
• Analyze index changes, corporate actions and portfolio events to determine implementation.
• Provide performance attribution and explain tracking results.
• Develop familiarity with index vendor methodologies, market structure and liquidity.
• Prepare client-facing materials and draft investment reports.
