Job summary

Brighton Primary School, part of the Department of Education Victoria, seeks a Learning Enhancement Aide to support students with diverse learning needs within a collaborative team. You will implement differentiated teaching strategies, assist with IEPs and SSGs, and help ensure equitable access to the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Learning Enhancement Aide role and evidence-based teaching practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
• Strong verbal and written communication with families and staff.
• Knowledge of inclusive education and strategies for diverse learners.
• Ability to collect and communicate student progress data for planning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and Learning Enhancement staff to support IEPs, SSGs and adjustments.
• Provide small group or one-on-one support following teacher direction and programs.
• Support literacy and numeracy intervention aligned with school approaches.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Prepare learning materials, visual supports, and differentiated resources.
• Foster independence, confidence, and engagement through structured support.
• Support communication between teachers, parents, and specialist staff.
• Contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment and wellbeing.
• Provide personal care support as required following protocols.
• Engage in professional learning and reflective practice.
