Job summary

BUSY Ability, part of The BUSY Group, is recruiting a Job Placement Officer based in Mackay and covering Proserpine, Bowen and Cannonvale. You will connect inclusive employers with jobseekers, champion diversity, and drive meaningful employment opportunities.

You’ll build partnerships, deliver workshops, and create life-changing career pathways while supporting people with disability and other diverse groups to thrive in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, recruitment or employment services.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for inclusion and accessibility in employment.

Responsibilities

• Build strong employer partnerships and advocate for inclusive hiring.
• Identify and convert new job opportunities through proactive engagement.
• Deliver engaging job-readiness workshops on resumes, interviews and workplace skills.
• Match jobseekers to roles that fit their abilities and goals.
• Conduct workplace assessments to ensure safe, accessible environments.
• Represent BUSY Ability at expos, job fairs and local events.
• Convert leads into sustainable placements with measurable outcomes.
