Job summary

AKG, a leading Australian employment, training and health services provider, seeks an Employment Consultant to support clients in overcoming barriers and securing sustainable work. You will build partnerships with local employers, training organisations, and community groups, delivering tailored job plans and superior client service.

The role offers a structured 9–5 schedule, opportunities for development, and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Overcome objections and break down employment barriers
• Ability to develop and implement effective engagement strategies with employers
• Awareness of vulnerabilities and the positive effects of employment
• Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Well-developed problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Support and understand clients' barriers and work to develop employment goals
• Create and source employment opportunities; help clients identify skills and secure sustainable employment
• Provide high level customer service to clients, employers and stakeholders
• Create, tailor and implement a partnered job plan
• Build sustainable relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations
• Explain to employers the benefits and supports in hiring someone with a barrier/disability
