Job summary

Glen Eira Leisure in Melbourne seeks an Access and Partnerships Coordinator to shape access, inclusion, community participation and venue partnerships. You will lead strategic and operational work across Venues and Partnerships, Access and Inclusion, Every Body Active and benevolent programs.

You will drive inclusive participation initiatives, oversee bookings and partnerships, manage business performance and guide teams towards accessible leisure opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams, programs or services in leisure, community, health, disability or related field.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills.
• Experience managing budgets, performance outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, policies and operational processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of accessibility, inclusion and community participation principles.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, risk management and child safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead accessible participation programs, benevolent initiatives and inclusive services that deliver positive community outcomes.
• Oversee aquatic, sporting club and facility bookings while supporting high-quality service delivery.
• Develop and implement strategic and annual business plans for the Access and Partnerships portfolio.
• Provide clear and consistent leadership, supporting high-performing teams and modelling expected behaviours and standards.
• Build strong relationships with Council teams, community groups, sporting clubs, service providers and other key stakeholders.
• Promote diversity, access and inclusion across Glen Eira Leisure and strengthen community participation.
• Develop and monitor budgets, provide accurate forecasts and report on program KPIs.
• Monitor program performance, customer satisfaction and service outcomes, identifying and implementing improvements.
• Ensure programs and services comply with relevant legislation, Council policies and industry standards.
