Job summary

Glen Eira City Council – Bentleigh East VIC is seeking an Access & Inclusion Assistant Team Leader to support the delivery, coordination and improvement of programs that promote community participation. You will lead Every Body Active staff and volunteers, assist with program delivery, stakeholder engagement and operational coordination, contributing to inclusive outcomes and high-quality services.

This part-time role offers 22.8 hours per week and a pay rate of $38.09 per hour plus

Qualifications

• Experience delivering programs within a leisure, recreation, community or health-related environment.
• Experience supervising, supporting and developing staff and/or volunteers.
• Commitment to community participation, inclusion and benevolent program outcomes.
• Strong customer service, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and complaint resolution skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate competing priorities and manage day-to-day operations.
• Strong organisational, administration and record-keeping skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems, exercise sound judgement and implement practical solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business systems.
• Commitment to organisational values, continuous improvement and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to Every Body Active staff and volunteers.
• Assist in the delivery, coordination and evaluation of Every Body Active programs and services.
• Support staff and volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development.
• Develop and manage rosters to support effective program delivery.
• Collaborate with Coordinators and Team Leaders to support facility operations, program delivery and service outcomes.
• Respond to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community organisations, education providers and key stakeholders.
• Monitor participation outcomes, program quality and customer satisfaction to support continuous improvement.
• Ensure policies, procedures and compliance requirements are adhered to while promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the development of new programs and participation opportunities.
