Job summary

Queensland Early Years Workforce Institute in Brisbane is seeking an inaugural Director of Corporate Services to establish the financial, operational and governance foundations of a new organisation supporting Queensland's early years workforce.

As a member of the executive team, you will lead finance, payroll, information technology, HR support and internal controls, blending strategic input with hands-on delivery to shape sustainable funding and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership and governance experience at senior level.
• Strong financial management, budgeting and reporting capabilities.
• Experience in project commissioning or funding partnerships.
• Ability to align resources with strategic priorities and manage people.

Responsibilities

• Establish corporate services foundations, including policies and systems.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and resource allocation for the Institute.
• Set up governance mechanisms and risk controls to meet funding obligations.
• Oversee contracting, service agreements and commissioning work plans.
• Pursue sustainable funding opportunities and build strategic partnerships.
