Job summary

Logicalis Australia is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our Melbourne-based team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of legal, commercial, compliance and risk matters within a global technology business, reporting to the Finance Director and collaborating with senior leaders across the organisation.

You will provide practical legal support, draft and negotiate key commercial agreements, and contribute to privacy and governance initiatives while developing broader

Qualifications

• 3–7 years post-qualification experience in private practice, in-house, or both.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
• Good commercial judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach to managing risk.
• A willingness to learn and develop across a broad range of matters.
• The ability to work independently while remaining collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal and commercial advice across operational and strategic matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and standard terms.
• Support bid and tender activities through legal review and risk assessment.
• Assist with corporate compliance reporting obligations.
• Support privacy, data protection and governance initiatives.
• Manage customer and supplier disputes as required.
• Provide guidance on employment and workplace matters in partnership with People & Culture and advisers.
• Contribute legal expertise to projects and initiatives, and build relationships with stakeholders.
