Job summary

BlueCare in Redbank Plains and surrounding areas is hiring a Personal Carer to support clients in their homes and communities. You will travel to visits, help with daily living tasks, and follow individualised Care Plans to enhance independence and quality of life.

The role is casual with additional benefits and salary packaging options; a current driver’s licence and vehicle are essential for travel between client sites.

Qualifications

• Essential qualification: Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential
• Roadworthy and insured vehicle to use for work (Third Party Property minimum)
• Experience with smartphones, tablets, laptops or similar devices
• Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks required by legislation

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care to clients in community settings
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, meal prep, cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Support clients according to their Care Plan
• Engage clients in community-based activities and social outings
• Transport and assist with shopping and appointments
