Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Child and Family Case Worker for the Intensive Family Support Service in Gladstone. This permanent, full-time role (38 hours/week) provides in-home support and therapeutic guidance to vulnerable families to keep children safe and within their homes.

Applicants should have a relevant degree (social work, human services, psychology) or a diploma with substantial experience. Queensland Working with Children Check and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, human services, psychology preferred.
• Diploma in related field with at least two years’ experience also considered.
• At least two years’ experience in case management and child protection with families.

Responsibilities

• Lead case management with families in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Complete assessments and develop collaborative case plans.
• Support families to access appropriate specialist services.
