Job summary

Integrated Living Aged Care is seeking a Community Support Worker to assist older Australians in their own homes across Bateau Bay and surrounding areas. You’ll provide person-centred care and practical support in clients’ daily lives, helping maintain independence and safety at home.

You’ll work up to 50 hours per fortnight on a permanent part-time contract, with shifts Mon–Fri from 8:00am or 5:00pm, and enjoy paid induction, ongoing training and access to salary packaging and discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Assistant in Nursing qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aged care, community care, disability or a similar care environment.
• Current driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to obtain comprehensive car insurance, WWCC and First Aid/CPR.
• A current NDIS check or police check no older than 6 months.
• Confidence using smartphones and tablets.
• Reliability, compassion and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Supporting clients with showering, dressing, grooming and other personal care needs.
• Medication Support: Supporting clients with their medication routines in line with their care plans.
• Domestic Assistance: Helping with light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and supporting healthy eating routines.
• Transport & Community Access: Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping and community activities.
• Companionship: Building genuine relationships and providing social connection.
• Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to make their own choices and maintain their confidence and independence.
• Individualised Support: Following care plans and working as part of a wider team to provide quality care.
