Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a Care Worker for At Home Services in Canberra and surrounding areas. You will help older Australians with daily living activities and light household tasks, delivering compassionate, client‑centred care in clients’ homes.

You’ll maintain close client relationships, coordinate with your supervisor, and support independence while following care plans. A driver licence and vehicle are required, with training and development provided.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence is required.
• Strong communication and empathetic approach to clients.
• Reliable vehicle with suitable insurance for client transport.
• Proficient with smartphone technology and apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks and daily living activities.
• Support clients with showering, dressing, meal preparation and mobility.
• Provide transport to appointments and social activities.
• Maintain accurate care plans and communicate with supervisors.
