Job summary

LiveBetter Aged Care in Gladstone, QLD is hiring permanent part-time and casual Support Workers (Aged) to join our expanding team. You will provide person-centred in‑home support, helping clients with daily living, mobility, meal prep and transport, while promoting independence and choice.

To succeed you’ll have current First Aid and CPR, a valid Australian driver’s licence, ability to travel within the region, and a caring, communicative approach.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake personal care services with customers.
• A caring and compassionate approach with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently, whilst enjoying a degree of responsibility in your position.
• Ability to be flexible in work hours and approach to meet the needs of our customers.
• Availability of a fully registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role.
• Working with Children's and NDIS Screening checks.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: this may include toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs.
• Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation and meal planning.
• Transport: transport to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping (including assisting with shopping) and other outings as required.
• Social Support: welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining their connection to the community.
• Domestic Assistance: duties such as vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home and garden maintenance.
