Job summary

Southern Cross Community Healthcare in Nowra NSW is seeking an Aged Care Support Worker to assist the elderly at home and in the community, helping with daily activities to maintain independence and wellbeing.

You will provide domestic and personal care, accompany appointments, assist with meals, shopping, and medication prompting, and report on client progress. Short shifts (2–3 hours) Mon-Fri with travel between homes, with comprehensive training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing.
• Current references.
• Current driver's licence and your own car with insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory).
• Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory).
• Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance.
• Personal care assistance - Showering, toileting, grooming and dressing.
• Attending appointments and grocery shopping (within the community).
• Medication prompting where required.
• Preparing meals.
• Reporting and documentation.
