Job summary

Southern Cross Community Healthcare – Bracken Ridge QLD is seeking caring individuals to support elderly clients to remain living independently at home, helping with daily activities such as domestic tasks and personal care.

You will be trained and supported by qualified healthcare professionals, with duties including meal preparation, medication prompting, appointments, and reporting. A variety of short shifts (2 hours) are available Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, client‑centered care approach.
• Able to assist with daily living activities and domestic tasks.
• Must hold a valid driver’s licence and vehicle registration.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Working With Children Check – Paid.
• Certificate III in Ageing & Disability or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance to elderly clients.
• Assist with personal care (showering, toileting, grooming, dressing).
• Attend appointments and complete grocery shopping.
• Provide medication prompting where required.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Report and document care activities.
