Job summary

Moira Shire Council seeks an experienced professional to lead infrastructure design projects from concept to shovel-ready status. You will coordinate across multiple teams, manage stakeholders and ensure timely, compliant project delivery for regional communities along the Murray River and Cobram area.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in construction, project management or civil/structural engineering, plus strong communication and governance skills.

Qualifications

• Hold a tertiary qualification in construction, project management and engineering, civil/structural design or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem solving and communication abilities in complex infrastructure settings.
• Extensive experience in project management and contract management for municipal design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design to shovel-ready status, including stakeholder consultation, permits and design.
• Facilitate cross-functional design working groups for project preparation.
• Foster a positive team culture with engagement, accountability and stakeholder collaboration.
• Attend meetings and support design teams and internal stakeholders through planning and management.
• Oversee OH&S, quality and governance across design projects and consultants.
