Job summary

Allambi Care in Newcastle is seeking a Casual Support Worker to assist individuals living with disabilities, children and young people in our care. You will provide person-centred support, help develop daily living skills, and enable participation in community activities.

The role requires a current WWCC, NDIS checks, First Aid, a valid driver's licence and a vehicle capable of transporting four or more people.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment).
• Current NDIS Worker Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID011).
• National Police Check (via Employment Screening Group).
• A current driver’s licence (minimum of a P2).
• A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people.
• Comprehensive Car Insurance.
• Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• Ability to work a 7-day shift work roster.
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks.
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children and young people in Allambi Care.
• Provide person-centred active support to help participants develop daily living skills and participate in community activities.
• Assist with programs to support development and independence.
