Job summary

Downer is recruiting a Management Accountant in Adelaide to deliver high-quality financial insights that support informed decision‑making within our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team. You will report to the Finance Manager Accounting Services and play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting and business partnering.

The role requires a CA/CPA qualification, strong management accounting experience, and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, JDE, OneStream) and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification and solid accounting experience.
• Experience in management accounting and delivering high‑quality outputs.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP, JDE, OneStream) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting activities across support functions including Finance, Strategy & Growth, Zero Harm, People & Culture, and Commercial & Risk.
• Complete monthly P&L reporting, accrual reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations; assist with budgets.
• Partner with functional leaders as a trusted point of contact for accounting support and analysis.
• Review purchase orders and invoices; support statutory obligations such as FBT and GST data collection.
• Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to quality and efficiency initiatives.
