Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for decision-making.
  • Manage month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial transactions and robust financial controls.
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights for business decisions.
  • Prepare audit-ready workpapers and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Analyse budget and forecast variances, identify risks and opportunities.
  • Lead annual budgeting and support forecasting with key stakeholders.
  • Review expenditure for accurate coding and accruals.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including depreciation, additions, and disposals.
  • Ensure capital expenditure aligns with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Improve finance processes through stronger controls and automation.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Adelaide team. This role leads financial reporting, strengthens controls and partners with operational teams across our multi entity group. Ideal for a technically strong accountant ready to step up and influence business outcomes.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for decision-making.
  • Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial transactions and strong financial controls.
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
  • Prepare audit-ready workpapers and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Analyse budget and forecast variances, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead annual budgeting and support forecasting with key stakeholders.
  • Review expenditure for accurate coding, classification, and accruals.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including depreciation, additions, and disposals.
  • Ensure capital expenditure complies with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Improve finance processes through stronger controls, automation, and digital solutions.
  • 5 years’ experience in a multi entity or complex environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and a sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Advanced Excel + ERP experience (MYOB and IPM)
  • Strong communication, analysis and stakeholder engagement
