The Victorian School of Languages (VSL) seeks a Leading Teacher to advance language education and lead school priorities across campuses. The role focuses on coaching teachers, implementing high‑impact teaching strategies, and using data to drive student learning improvements.

As a senior leader, you will coordinate curriculum development, support professional learning, and contribute to policy and WSA priorities within the Department of Education Victoria.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead school priorities.
• Ability to plan and implement high impact teaching strategies across the curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning using data to drive improvement.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills for collaboration with staff and the community.
• Reflect on practice and contribute to whole‑school professional learning.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage whole‑school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and priorities.
• Lead and manage curriculum planning and delivery improvements across learning areas.
• Coordinate professional development and staff development plans.
• Oversee staff performance and development processes.
• Lead curriculum development in major learning areas and participate in cross‑curricular planning.
• Contribute to policy development and school leadership activities.
• Oversee the school code of conduct and student welfare policies.
• Coordinate language programs and liaise with home schools and centres.
