Job summary

St John Ambulance Queensland seeks engaging Trainers & Assessors for a fixed-term 12-month contract to deliver first aid and CPR training across workplaces, schools, and communities throughout Queensland.

You will conduct practical, interactive sessions in a range of settings, focusing on real-world skill application and learner engagement. The role runs 2 days per week with travel to client sites and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent required.
• Experience in training, education, emergency response, healthcare, or similar.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to facilitate groups and engage learners.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• Blue Card (or ability to obtain) and Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain).
• Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic, hands-on training sessions.
• Create engaging learner experiences.
• Assess practical competency and provide feedback.
• Adapt training to different industries and learning styles.
• Travel to client locations as required.
