Job summary

SYC Limited is hiring an Employment Coach in Melbourne to deliver Workforce Australia services from our Dandenong site. You will support participants to overcome barriers, build skills and progress toward employment goals.

You will conduct coaching, assess strengths, network with community organisations, and help with job search strategies, resumes and interview prep. This is a full-time permanent role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, client facing or an administrative role.
• Time management, organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise in order to achieve outcomes.
• Excellent communication and written skills; able to conduct client assessments and develop case notes.
• Outcome-focused with a genuine passion for helping people succeed.
• Ability to develop relationships with employers and stakeholders.
• Willing to work across multiple locations.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one coaching sessions and create personalised action plans.
• Conduct career assessments to identify strengths and guide goals.
• Use outreach and networking with community organisations to create opportunities.
• Assist participants with job search strategies, resume writing, and interview prep.
• Refer participants to training, counselling and other services to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with requirements.
