Job summary

SYC is a not-for-profit organisation helping people with disability to access meaningful employment. The Employment Coach will support participants, connect them with tailored opportunities and collaborate with employers to promote inclusive outcomes.

Based at the Fortitude Valley site, you’ll deliver coaching, career planning, and post-placement support in a fast-paced, participant‑focused environment dedicated to community impact.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and team collaboration.
• Experience supporting people with disability.
• Willing to complete Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• Tertiary qualification in Disability or Community Services or willing to actively work towards a qualification.
• Eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one coaching, guidance and needs assessments to help participants overcome barriers to employment.
• Support with career planning to enhance job readiness skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Engage with employers and stakeholders to source, match and broker suitable employment opportunities.
• Deliver individual case management and facilitate referrals to services addressing vocational and non‑vocational barriers.
• Provide ongoing post-placement support to promote sustained employment.
