Truganina College in Melbourne's western growth corridor is a Prep to Year 9 school with about 1,600 students and 160 staff. The classroom teacher role focuses on planning, preparation and teaching programs to achieve student outcomes, with opportunities to contribute to school policies and priorities.

Teachers will mentor other staff, use data to inform instruction, and engage in professional learning aligned to Department values.

Qualificações

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and the ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.
• Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
• Ability to use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsabilidades

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or school program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
