Job summary

Everyday Independence is hiring a Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Mornington. You’ll work across homes, schools, playgrounds and community settings, using functional assessments and behaviour support plans to help participants achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration as outlined (e.g., OT/AHPRA, Speech Pathology/SPA, Social Work/AASW, Nursing/AHPRA, Psychology/BSPA)
• Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
• Positive and flexible approach to work
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid Australian driver’s license and required checks (NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children)

Responsibilities

• Work in diverse settings including homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces and community centres
• Use assessment and intervention skills to support participant goals and maximize NDIS funding
• Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports
• Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies
• Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
• Attend weekly team meetings and engage with mentoring support
