Job summary

Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service Aboriginal Corporation in Western Australia is seeking a Content Editor to join the Communications Team. You will develop, write and edit content across publications, websites, newsletters, speeches and executive communications while maintaining a consistent and professional brand voice.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in copywriting or communications, strong editing and proofreading, web CMS experience, and knowledge of Adobe InDesign.

Qualifications

• Qualifications (or working towards) in journalism, communications, marketing or related field.
• Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience creating engaging content for multiple audiences and platforms.
• Knowledge of web content management systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding or interest in Aboriginal culture and lived experiences.
• 2-3 years' experience in a copywriting, communications or content role.
• Experience working within the health sector.
• Skills in Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and edit content across publications, websites, newsletters, speeches and executive communications.
• Research and develop compelling stories and community-focused content.
• Copywriting for high-level organisational communications.
• Draft speeches, media content and executive communications.
• Support the production of publications, including Annual Reports and newsletters.
• Manage and update website content.
