Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service Aboriginal Corporation in Western Australia is seeking a Content Editor to join the Communications Team.   • 2-3 years' experience in a copywriting, communications or content role.
  • Experience working within the health sector.
  • Skills in Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite applications.

Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service is seeking a talented Content Editor to join our Communications Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer who is passionate about creating engaging content and sharing stories that highlight positive community impact.

About the Role

You will develop, write and edit content across a range of platforms, including publications, websites, newsletters, speeches and executive communications. Working closely with staff, clients and stakeholders, you will help bring Derbarl’s stories to life while ensuring a consistent and professional brand voice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and developing compelling stories and community-focused content.
  • Writing and editing content for digital and print channels.
  • Copywriting for high-level organisational communications.
  • Drafting speeches, media content and executive communications.
  • Supporting the production of publications, including Annual Reports and newsletters.
  • Managing and updating website content.
About You

You will have:

  • Qualifications (or be working towards qualifications) in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience creating engaging content for multiple audiences and platforms.
  • Knowledge of web content management systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • An understanding of, or genuine interest in, Aboriginal culture, stories and lived experiences.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a copywriting, communications or content role.
