Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking an experienced Specialist Immunopathologist to support statewide inpatient and outpatient diagnostic laboratory services in Immunology, Tissue Typing and Allergy testing. You will work with hospital clinical departments to ensure high quality, cost-effective services and ongoing accreditation across Queensland's pathology network.

The role requires FRCPA or equivalent and AHPRA registration, Royal College of Pathologists fellowship, and a track record in

Qualifications

• Medical qualification with tertiary qualification in Immunopathology.
• Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent.
• Specialist pathology registration with AHPRA as a Specialist Pathologist.
• Knowledge of ISO 15189 and NPAAC standards for accreditation across Queensland's laboratories.
• Experience with newborn screening, genetic variant curation and functional immunological testing is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality diagnostic laboratory services in Immunology, Tissue Typing and Allergy testing.
• Lead continuous improvement across Queensland's statewide pathology network.
• Support training, teaching, research and management activities across the network.
