Job summary

The City of Port Phillip is seeking a casual Nurse Immuniser to deliver vaccines at community sessions, schools and community organisations. You will provide high-quality customer service with a caring, gentle approach while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

As part of the Health Services Team, you will administer vaccines under the National Immunisation Program, ensure cold chain integrity and provide immunisation advice.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Accredited Nurse Immuniser qualification.
• Current knowledge of immunisation best-practice and CPR accreditation.
• Working with Children’s Check
• Satisfactory National Police Check

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines in accordance with the National Immunisation Program and council policies.
• Maintain cold chain management and safety standards.
• Provide evidence-based immunisation advice to clients.
• Support continuous service improvement.
• Manage emergencies in line with legislation and best practice.

About The Role

As part of Council’s Health Services Team, you will work alongside a supportive and experienced team to safely deliver vaccines at community sessions, schools and community organisations. You will provide a high level of customer service and bring a caring, gentle and personable approach to every interaction, while consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity and respect for confidentiality.
