Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District offers a permanent radiographer position at The Sutherland Hospital in Caringbah as part of the Medical Imaging team. The role covers general, CT, MRI, ultrasound and more, with on-call and 24/7 rostering expectations.

New graduates are welcome, with priority given to experienced radiographers. The successful applicant will perform imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and contribute to high-quality, efficient diagnostic services across ED,

Qualifications

Hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent.
Hold a NSW EPA Radiation Licence to operate radiation apparatus and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA.
Demonstrated ability and experience to perform radiographic examinations in a wide range of modality areas including general, theatre, mobiles.
Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 roster and on call as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience or knowledge in utilising health related computer applications.

Responsibilities

To perform medical imaging procedures and be responsible for the production and accurate archiving of diagnostic images under the direction of radiologists and department managers.
To ensure the safety of patients and provide high quality patient care.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 rotating roster with strong and effective communication skills.
To work with independent initiative, undertake continuing professional development and maintain competency in all clinical tasks.
