Job summary

ATS Global is seeking an Electronics Engineer (SCADA & Control Systems) to design, implement and commission electronic monitoring and control systems for industrial and data centre environments. You will integrate PLCs, BMS, UPS and other equipment into unified SCADA solutions and support full project lifecycle.

The role requires hands‑on hardware/software work, FAT/SAT testing, and post‑deployment training across international project teams; strong English skills and cross‑language

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Eligibility for Engineers Australia assessment at Professional Engineer level.
• Eligibility for registration as Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.
• Ignition certification (Gold or above) is mandatory.
• Minimum five years post‑qualification experience in electronics engineering.
• Minimum three years configuring and deploying SCADA with Ignition.
• Experience with Modbus, BACnet, SNMP and MQTT protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic system architectures for PLC/SCADA and monitoring solutions.
• Develop functional design specifications from URS and process descriptions.
• Select instrumentation, sensors, I/O modules and gateways for automation platforms.
• Implement industrial networks using Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, MQTT.
• Develop SCADA applications on Ignition (Vision/ Perspective) for real‑time control.
• Create dashboards, alarms, trends, and reporting; script in Python/SQL.
• Prepare FAT/SAT plans and commission systems at client sites.
• Deliver training and produce operation/maintenance documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering

Eligibility for Engineers Australia assessment (ANZSCO 233411)

Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration (Electrical Engineering)

Inductive Automation Ignition certification (Gold or above)
